We are looking for a Senior Associate with specialised experience in key carbon market programmes, registries and standard-setting bodies. The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in these areas, demonstrating a deep understanding of carbon methodologies and project origination. This role offers the unique opportunity to join a fast-growing and dynamic organisation in Singapore.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise in the development and implementation of carbon credit projects under programmes and standard bodies such as CDM, VCS, Gold Standard, ACR, ICVCM, VCMI, Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and CORSIA.
  • Track and analyse developments on methodologies and protocols under voluntary and compliance carbon market schemes and initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and insights for internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate carbon credit project origination and development in line with specific program methodologies.
  • Contribute to enhancement of project's environmental integrity, viability and market engagement.
  • Support engagement in stakeholder outreach and build strong relationships within the carbon market community.
  • Prepare and present reports and findings on market trends and developments.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Sciences (i.e. Geography, Chemistry), Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in carbon markets, with specific expertise in project origination or development or methodology development (technology or nature-based reductions and removals).
  • Strong understanding of carbon market dynamics, policy developments, project certification processes and registry functions.
  • Deep familiarity with carbon crediting programmes, protocols and methodologies.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex data sets.
  • Strong initiative, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in database management and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Powerpoint and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability for self-directed learning.
